ET Lemondrop
ET Lemon Drop (officially registered as Lemon Drop, PSA #224) is one of Elizabeth Thornton’s most highly regarded introductions and is widely considered one of the best yellow plumerias available. It produces brilliant, pure yellow blooms measuring about 3½ inches across, with a soft white edge that becomes more noticeable as the flowers age. The petals are wide, elliptical, and highly overlapping with excellent substance and keeping quality.
The fragrance is a clean, strong lemon-citrus scent (sometimes described as citrus with a slight herbal note). The plant has a compact, well-proportioned growth habit with thick branching and pubescent (slightly fuzzy) new growth. It is a vigorous, heavy bloomer, easy to root, cold tolerant, and notably resistant to rust.
Many growers, including Florida Colors Nursery, rank it among the top yellow varieties for its consistent color, strong scent, compact form, and reliable performance. It remains a standout from the Thornton breeding program.

Availability:
Rooted plumerias are grown organically here in south Louisiana, potted in air pruning pots, and ready for their new homes. We recommend leaving them in their current pots for at least 1–2 years for best results.
