Plumeria Description
Moragne #23
Created by Bill Moragne from his historic Daisy Wilcox × Scott Pratt cross on Kauai, Moragne #23 produces some of the largest individual plumeria flowers—regularly 4 to 5 inches across and reaching up to 6 inches under ideal conditions.
The blooms open in rich creamy yellow that softens to white toward the petal tips, beautifully accented by a soft pink band along one edge (and often visible on the reverse). Full, elliptical petals with slightly pointed tips gently recurve as they mature, giving the flowers a graceful, relaxed elegance. They appear in enormous, dense clusters that can become pendulous under their own weight—an unforgettable display.
The fragrance is a fresh, clean citrus with subtle sweet notes that perfectly complements the luminous color. Growth is medium-tall to tall and robust, with an upright habit that supports those massive flower heads. It blooms reliably every year, delivering the size, presence, and impact that only a true Moragne can offer.
